The ICES Data Centre is pleased to announce the launch of a new release of the ICES Data Portal, now rebranded as DataXplorer. This updated platform introduces enhanced functionality, including new capabilities for visualizing and downloading restricted data layers.
DataXplorer now supports three types of datasets:
Public data Restricted data Combined public and restricted data
Restricted data is displayed on the map at an aggregated level to ensure appropriate access control. Users are required to log in to download data where permission is granted. If a user does not have access to restricted datasets, only aggregated information will be included in any downloaded files.
Currently, VME-restricted data are available in this release, with additional restricted datasets planned for future updates.
