This pull request is for a conversion of the existing gr-mapper OOT module from GNURadio 3.7 to 3.8. If this is accepted the master branch will be compatible with GNURadio 3.8 only. I suggest tagging or creating a new branch off of the current master branch for use with legacy GNURadio 3.7 installations.
I haven't tested this extensively, but it is working with the example flow graphs and works with my other gr-mapper applications.
