Disang Keyboard

Disang is a lightweight, privacy-focused English-to-Assamese transliteration keyboard for Android. It allows users to type Assamese naturally using the Latin (English) alphabet.

🚀 Features

• Phonetic Transliteration: Type nomoskar to get নমস্কাৰ.
• Smart Suggestions: Handles the ambiguity of Assamese sibilants. Words containing s, c, or x provide multiple suggestions for শ, ষ, স, চ, and ছ.
• Juktakhor Support: Use a period . to explicitly create conjunct characters (Juktakhors).
• Toggle Mode: Easily switch between English (En) and Assamese (As) modes with a single tap.

⌨️ How to Use

1. Enabling the Keyboard

After installing the APK:

1. Go to Settings > System > Languages & Input.
2. Select On-screen keyboard > Manage on-screen keyboards.
3. Toggle Disang to ON.
4. Switch your input method to Disang when typing.

2. Transliteration Rules

The keyboard uses a toggle button to control the engine :

• [En] : Standard English typing.
• [As] (Blue Text) : Assamese transliteration enabled.

📦 Installation

Currently, Disang is in beta and not available on the Google Play Store.

1. Download the latest APK
2. Open the file on your Android device.
3. Allow "Install from Unknown Sources" if prompted.
