Ash Olorenshaw

Hey, I'm Ash! I do a lot of writing in

  • C
  • Fortran
  • F#
  • JS/TS (reluctantly)

No matter what people say, I'm going to continue running PowerShell as my shell of choice on Linux (even if it can be awkward occasionally)!

Other miscellaneous opinions:

  • Fortran is an excellent language still
  • I still kind of like C's syntax for some weird reason.
  • .NET is impressively fast
  • HTMX and VanJS are both excellent web solutions!
  • Nim is probably the most ergonomic language of all time.
  • OOP is only good when it's relevant. If it's not relevant, then it's just a complication
  • The greatest joy of programming is the solving of unique and mindbending problems
