file displays without problem here and in chrome.

Are you using the latest version of ph? I just tried that file and it works fine.

Remember to recompile or download the latest AppImage from the releases tab.

I did recompile ofc ... but it needed a make clean; the version I'm using is listed in the issue header. it was the latest when I tested

it loads, but the timing is off, it looks like it's playing the images as fast as possible, there's a 100 ms between the images if I'm not wrong.

you can use https://github.com/nkh/P5-Image-APNG if you want to generate a test with a specific timing.

well, it worked because I used ./ph, ./pixelhopper fails with the same error as above. Do you have two different binaries for the different formats?

I notice that your build system doesn't generate a pixelhopper, maybe I copied ph to pixelhopper, although I prefer short names, and it's just confusion from my part.

Oh yes, I am aware of the timing issues. When I have some (more) I will take a deeper look into it, because the GIF timing isn't entirely accurate as well.

For the time being, just slow down the speed by using the mouse scroll over the image (or right click > decrease speed)

Ah, that's just because I renamed the binary to ph for quicker/easier access. Simply remove the old one (pixelhopper)
