404 error

The app works great if the app is open on the phone, but if you just scan a tag (without the app open) then you get a github page with a 404. I don't know if this is by design, but I could open the sonos app and play a favorite as fast as opening this app and scanning a tag so I don't think this is how it was designed.

This happens because you have probably selected that the URL should always be opened with Chrome. You should have selected the NFC Controller for Sonos instead.

Try installing Firefox (or any other browser) from the Play Store. Then you should be asked again which app should be used to open the URL that is saved on the tag.

The URL does not exist, it is only used as an identifier so that the system opens the app in which the content of the NFC tag is then processed.

Brave is my default browser. I downloaded firefox, and it ask me to set a default, but I don't see anything but the browsers. I'm not being asked which app to open the URL, and I can't set to no default for the browser. So I am unsure how I can tell NFC Controller to open the URL. In the app settings for NFC controller in android there is a "open by default" and it is selected to open linkis in this app. But it's not doing it, it opens in the browser. This may be due to the fact that I am using a URL as an identifier which I don't own (github.com). I changed this and now a different URL is used which Google was able to confirm as mine. I have published an update in the beta channel, but it will take a while until Google has approved it. Can you join the beta program and test this change when it is available?

I've signed up and am waiting for google to update the app (in the past beta apps have taken a little while) Unfortunately, I'm going out of town for a few days this afternoon. Finally got to look at this again (LONG week and weekend) And I'm not sure it works as I thought it would work. I write the tab for a specific song (I listen to the beach to fall asleep) But what actually comes up when the tab is "activated" is whatever was the last song played (usually the song that played for my alarm that day) When I set up a tab, it is clear that I'm setting up for a specific song (favorite) but it seems to ignore that and just brings up the last song played. Is the original problem solved? Is it possible to scan a tag now without the app open?

Regarding your last comment: Something seems to be very wrong. Is this behavior you describe new in the beta version or was it already like this before the update?
