Lily58 Right Side Updates but Layer Switching Remains

I can successfully flash new keymaps onto my lily58 (blok) but the layer modifier keys still overlap with the new replacement keys.

For example, I replaced the m(2) key with backspace, but the m(2) overlay still appears on the oled and the backspace appears to be debounced differently.
