System Monitor - Multiple Systems & Server-Side Support

Abandoned. No follow-up requests for this. And Portal has implemented a more in-depth version that provides these goals.

Goal

Upgrade system monitor plugin to support:

1. choice to render multiple systems or single system
2. data retrieval server-side, not client-side
3. treat success and warning as loading as distinct states (source)
4. (optional) avoid need for admin to reload page after changing plugin to retrieve data
5. (optional) implement tests

• to github:tacc-wbomar/gh-system-monitor

History

1. Portal shows multiple systems with its version of system monitor.
2. Wes found bitbucket:rochaa/tacc-sysmon.
3. Plan (via this ticket) to use the features of bitbucket:rochaa/tacc-sysmon bitbucket.org:tacc-system-monitor.
4. FP-1231 reveals bitbucket.org:tacc-system-monitor.
5. JavaScript implementation at https://github.com/TACC/Core-CMS/tree/main/taccsite_cms/contrib/taccsite_system_monitor.
6. JavaScript implementation ported to github:tacc-wbomar/gh-system-monitor.
