There a comment in tests/busted.lua:

-- Ensure the R parser is installed before running tests
-- vim.cmd("TSInstallSync r")

I guess that the script should check if the required parsers are installed and install them if necessary.

The output remains the same. The new error message wasn't output. Moreover, I guess the user cannot install the parser. The testing framework should do this automatically.

Note: of course, I have the parser for R installed, but it isn't installed in the .tests directory.

Exactly. Not sure what I did on my side. I pushed a change that should install it if missing. Hope it works.

I removed the .tests folder and getting the same error. At least I can replicate now

Configuring nvim-treesitter to install the required parsers solved the issue on my side. I pushed the change. Please, pull and try it.

Maybe we don't need this:

Before installing the parsers, the above code wasn't reached, and it would fail if it were moved above the Lazy setup because nvim-treesitter wouldn't be installed yet.

Maybe the problem is that we didn't release any version yet. We have just tagged a version.
