What would you like?
Currently, when creating a new list in Koffan, sections (categories) must be created manually for each list. This becomes repetitive for users who frequently create lists of the same type (for example: groceries, hardware store, party).
There is currently no way to define reusable section sets.
Proposed solution
Add a configuration option in Settings that allows users to create section templates.
A section template would be assigned to a list type (icon).
Example:
Grocery list icon → template:
- Vegetables
- Fruit
- Dairy
- Meat
- Frozen
- Bakery
- Drinks
Hardware store icon → template:
- Tools
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Materials
- Garden
When creating a new list:
- User selects an icon/type for the list
- If a template exists for that icon
- The list is automatically created with the predefined sections
Why do you need it?
- Much faster list creation
- Consistent category structure
- Better UX for users who create recurring list types
