Stockmarket Open/Closed Bell & Activate screen upon X db sound and remain on for Y Minutes

I bought a USB speaker and a USB microphone for my raspberry PI.
Do you think it would be a useful feature to :

1. Turn on the screen if a sound is heard on the microphone (sound would need to be researched as really want it to be alot of sound (configurable in the settings) so you know a person is in the room), then the screen stays on for Y minutes (Y is configurable).
2. At different times of the day ring a bell for the stockticker plugin i.e stockmarket open and stockmarket closed. Yes a gimmick but very fun for people that are obsessed with stocks like myself.

i got this working by doing the following on the ledpi (not the pi zero i also have on my system). works well.

1. System Requirements & Installation
   Modern Raspberry Pi OS versions (Trixie/Bookworm) require installing Python libraries via the system package manager to prevent environment conflicts.
   Run these commands on your Pi:

3. Managing Your Audio File
   Uploading & Overwriting via curl
   To upload a new audio file from your laptop and overwrite the current one on the Pi, run this command from your laptop's terminal:

Manually Triggering the Sound
To test your speakers and audio file immediately without waiting for the market:

4. Setting Up Auto-Start (Service)
   To ensure the script starts automatically when the Pi boots up:
   Create the service file: sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/nyse_audio.service
   Paste this configuration:

   After=network.target

[Service]

5. Troubleshooting & Debugging
   Check Service Status: sudo systemctl status nyse_audio.service
   View Live Logs: journalctl -u nyse_audio.service -f
   No Sound? Run alsamixer in the terminal to ensure the "Master" or "Headphone" volume isn't muted at the system level.
   Update Code: After editing nyse_timer.py, you must restart the service: sudo systemctl restart nyse_audio.service
