v1.0.0 release expectations

With the recent v1.0.0 release, will future breaking changes be accompanied by an upgrade/migration guide? I'd like to add a reliable, encrypted ZFS backup pool in the cloud using ZeroFS+NBD but don't want to start over for each breaking change.

I love the idea of ZeroFS and have been waiting to use it since I learned about it, but also holding off because of the rapid (and impressive) pace of development and breaking changes. Kudos on ZeroFS's success so far and thank you for choosing to make your work open source.

Thanks for the kind words.

Indeed, 1.0 and later will be forward compatible (until a v2, if that happens), meaning that you should be able to transparently move to a later version without breakage :)
