Creating a plugin with Python

Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to do this, or perhaps I haven't discovered it yet, but it would be nice if you could also create a plugin with Python that appears in the menu bar with an icon in AxisVM. At the moment, this only seems to be possible with C?
